Beauty Tips

KEEP YOUR HAIR SHINY & HEALTY

Our honey and olive oil deep conditioning treatment will have your hair shiny and manageable in no time. Honey has been the hottest thing this year. A honey conditioner is an excellent remedy for dry hair or for hair that has been damaged by over-styling. For hair loss, conditioning hair with honey along with either olive oil or tea tree oil might offer relief.

Try our new Simply Sweet Honey facial scrub. Natural, raw honey has been used as a beauty agent, including as a skin cleanser, for hundreds of years. Using honey on your face can help keep your skin hydrated, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A daily honey cleaner or mask can treat or prevent acne breakouts by ridding your skin of harmful bacteria. Honey is a safe skin treatment that can be used over the long term without side effects.

COLOR TREATMENT

Applying color to your hair—like any other chemical process—will damage your hair’s structure. If your hair is color-treated, you must understand that it will require extra TLC to keep your bathroom floor from looking like a hair rug.

Note: Ladies with relaxed color-treated hair need to establish a regimen that incorporates caring for both chemical processes.

Prepping Your Hair

Always make sure your hair is prepared to take the dye.

  • Never wash your hair right before you dye it because it needs those natural oils from your scalp
  • Do a protein treatment a week or two in advance for added strength (I also suggest doing one after the process)
  • Do not dye your hair the same day you relax it, wait 2 weeks after the relaxer
  • Examine the overall health of your hair. Is it dry? Riddled with split ends? If so, you need to hold off on dyeing

STYLE YOUR HAIR DAILY

Photos are a great way to keep track of the progress of your hair. Not only do they help for comparison purposes to see how far you have come but they also allow you to show others your hair if you have any questions or concerns about what you are doing. If you are worried about security, you can always opt to keep your face out of the picture

Most of the people frequenting hair boards are not experts or trained in hair care. It is important to understand that the advice given is most likely from personal experience or someone is repeating something that they heard. Take caution and always consult a doctor before beginning any supplements or routines that could affect your health in any way. Understand that no product will work the same for every person. What works for one person may or may not work for you. Trying the product for yourself is the only way to know for sure if the product will work for your hair.
